On December 16, the 100MW trough-type solar thermal power generation demonstration plant in Ulatzhongqi, Inner Mongolia, successfully achieved full load power generation. Under the multiple unfavorable factors such as the worst light resources around the winter solstice, the lowest ambient temperature and the highest air humidity after heavy snowfall, it is a significant milestone for the project construction to achieve full load power generation by using solar thermal collectors.
It is reported that the Ullat 100MW solar thermal power project, which started construction in July 2018, is one of the first 20 demonstration projects of the National Energy Administration and the largest installed tank-type solar thermal power station with the largest scale of heat storage in China. The project covers a total area of about 7,500 mu, and a total of 375 trough-type heat collection circuits are installed. Zhenjiang New Energy is responsible for the production and processing of some collector bracket parts in this solar thermal power generation project.
After the power station is fully operational, the annual power generation will be about 392 million kWh, saving 120,000 tons of standard coal, reducing 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide, reducing 9,000 tons of sulfur oxide emission and reducing 4,500 tons of nitrogen oxide emission. It is very important to promote the transformation of China's energy structure, improve the ecological environment and build a "clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient" modern energy system.
